ベアリングケースとメイン・ベアリングシャフトのセットです。 このセットは、最初期に製作されたプラスティック製軸受けベアリングさえもグレード・アップします。 プラスティック軸受けというのは、ごく初期のＴＤ１２４Ｍｋ．Ⅰモデル（シリアル番号１００１～１５，０００）に装着されていました。 それ以後の番号ではより摩擦係数の大きい金属製軸受けに変更されますが、いずれも長年の使用の後では性能が劣化しています。 このセットはすべてのTD 124 Mark I と Mark II モデル に適合します。
この製品の製作の歴史
６０年代半ば、トーレンス社は現行の１２４を改良するためのアイデアを考案し、試作品を開発しました。 しかし、最終的にその製品化を断念します。 当時の製造コストが高すぎたのが、原因でした。 スイス・トーレンス社の開発エンジニアだった友人が、その試作品を２セット所持していました。 １９６８年にトーレンス社が閉鎖された際、試作品はすべて失われていたのです。 私たちは完全なプロトタイプのコピーを製作できたのを誇りをもってお知らせします。 しかも、この超精密スピンドル・ベアリングはオリジナルのプロトタイプよりも摩擦係数が少なく、より優秀な性能を備えています。
通常のスピンドル・ベアリングと新製品との違い
新製品のベアリング軸受け部は一体成型で製造されています。 スピンドル・シャフトは軸受け部と同じ完璧な精度に仕上げてあります。 すべてポリッシュ・ステンレス鋼製です。
一番の改良点は
摩擦係数が限りなく無に近く、プラッターの回転がより滑らかになります。 スイッチを切った時、プラッターがずっと長く回転し続けるので、その大きな違いが分かります。

使用上の注意
超精密センター・スピンドルは、スピンドルと軸受けが完璧にマッチするよう製作されたもので、この２つで良好な回転が得られるようになっています。
絶対に通常のセンター・スピンドルや軸受け部とは交換して使用しないでください。

This offer contains the main bearing housing & the main bearing shaft. The main bearing consists of these 2 pieces already assembled. This set will upgrade first series plastic housings of the main bearing. The plastic housings were used in the very earliest TD 124 Mark I Models (Serial N° 1 – 15,000). As well as later models with metal housings that had tolerances or after heavy use did not perform well. It fits all TD 124 Mark I and Mark II models !
Our offered products history.
Thorens factory in the mid 60’s had the idea to improve the existing 124 in production so they produced a few prototypes which never went into production because they were to expensive for operating costs at the time. One of our good friends here, the former developement engineer from Thorens Switzerland saved 2 prototypes. In 1968 when the company closed down nothing else was saved. We are proud to offer an exact copy of this prototype with even better quality with less tolerances than the original prototype.
What is the difference between the original and our new improved ?
The main bearing housing is made out of one piece with intergrated lubrication. The main bearing shaft is made in the same precision and perfectly matched to the main bearing housing. All parts are polished stainless steel.
What is the main improvement ?
With little to no tolerance the platter runs much better and you will notice a huge difference when you shut your platter off as it runs much longer before it stops.
Soundwise : much less rumble & noise will be audible from the Pick Up.
Installation : Our product comes ready to fit with easy instruction manual.
Includes also a bottle of original Thorens oil.
Please Note : This Main Platter Bearing System has been manufactured and designed to work perfectly in its two piece set. Please dont try to fit old Main Bearing Shafts or the Housings with the new system set. Although it is a 2 piece set DON’T INTERCHANGE !
